Drag images onto the page or press Choose images. Batch conversion of up to 100 files is supported.

  3. Download.

Save images one by one, or all together as a ZIP file.

Which image format should you choose?

FormatBest forTransparency
JPGPhotos that need to open everywhere: email, forms, older appsNo
PNGScreenshots, logos, graphics with sharp edges and textYes
WebPWebsites: usually 25 to 35 percent smaller than JPG at similar qualityYes
AVIFThe smallest files for the web, supported by all current major browsersYes
GIFSimple graphics and compatibility with old software (256 colors)Basic

Converting from a format with transparency to JPG fills the transparent areas with a background color you can choose.

The most common jobs are WebP to JPG (for apps that don't accept WebP), PNG to JPG (to shrink large screenshots), JPG to WebP or AVIF (for faster websites) and HEIC to JPG for iPhone photos, which has its own page: HEIC to JPG converter. To make files smaller without changing format, use the image compressor. To change dimensions, use the image resizer.

Every converted image is saved without EXIF metadata, so GPS location and camera details don't carry over.

Frequently asked questions

Is the image converter free?

Yes, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many images you convert.

Why does AVIF take longer?

Your browser can't create AVIF files natively, so KitFuse uses a small encoder that downloads once and runs on your device. AVIF compresses very efficiently, which takes a few seconds per photo.

Will converting reduce quality?

Converting to PNG is lossless. JPG, WebP and AVIF use compression; at the default quality of 90 percent the difference is very hard to see. Raise the quality slider if you need more detail.

Can I convert animated GIFs?

Animated GIFs are converted using their first frame. To keep the animation, use GIF to MP4.
