Quick answer
To convert HEIC to JPG, add your HEIC photos to KitFuse. They're converted to JPG automatically at 92 percent quality, and you can download them one by one or as a ZIP. Conversion runs in your browser, including on Windows and Android, and the photos' location data is removed.
How to convert HEIC to JPG
- Add HEIC photos.
Drag .heic or .heif files onto the page or press Choose HEIC photos. You can add up to 100 at once.
- Pick JPG, PNG or WebP.
JPG is selected by default. Adjust the quality if you like; conversion updates automatically.
- Download your JPGs.
Save each photo or download them all as a ZIP file.
What is a HEIC file?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the photo format iPhones and iPads have used by default since iOS 11. It stores photos at roughly half the size of JPG with similar quality, which saves space on your phone. The catch is compatibility: many Windows apps, websites, online forms and older Android phones can't open HEIC files. Converting to JPG solves that.
Convert HEIC to JPG on Windows, Mac, Android or iPhone
KitFuse works in any modern browser. Safari opens HEIC directly. In Chrome, Edge and Firefox, KitFuse loads a small HEIC decoder (about 1 MB, downloaded once) that runs on your device, so you don't need to install anything or buy an extension. On iPhone, you can also stop the camera from using HEIC: go to Settings › Camera › Formats and choose Most Compatible.
Want to keep HEIC but remove the location? The Metadata Remover cleans HEIC files without converting them.
Frequently asked questions
Is this HEIC to JPG converter free?
Yes. It's free with no limits, no sign-up and no watermark.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Your photos are decoded and converted in your browser. They never leave your device.
Will the JPG look the same?
At the default 92 percent quality, the JPG looks the same to the eye. JPG files are usually larger than HEIC because the format is less efficient.
Does the JPG keep the photo's location?
No. The converted JPG is saved without EXIF data, so GPS location, dates and camera details are removed.
